Tensions Rise in Middle East after Drone Attack on US Forces

As if tensions in the Middle East weren’t high enough, the Biden administration has now been forced to deal with a troubling new development. Three brave US Army soldiers were killed in Jordan, and more than 30 others were injured in a drone attack overnight. This marks the first time US troops have been killed by enemy fire in the region since the beginning of the Gaza war.

President Biden promised to “hold those responsible to account” and vowed to respond to the attack. However, this administration has continually failed to take any meaningful action against the Iran-backed militants who are responsible for this attack. And now, they have the blood of three more American soldiers on their hands.

Despite Biden’s tough talk, it’s clear that his policy of “deterrence” has failed miserably. The Iran-backed militant groups continue to strike at US forces with impunity, and the Biden administration just sits back and watches. Enough is enough. It’s time for President Biden to send a message to Iran and its proxies that their actions will not be tolerated.

But don’t hold your breath, folks. While Republicans like Senator Lindsey Graham are calling for a strong response, the Biden administration seems content to let these attacks continue. Deputy Pentagon Press Secretary Sabrina Singh even had the audacity to say that the Pentagon does not believe the attacks are increasing. Really? Tell that to the families of the three soldiers who lost their lives.

Meanwhile, Israel is still reeling from the terror attack launched by Hamas on October 7. As of now, over 25,000 people have been killed and tens of thousands more injured in the ongoing conflict. And instead of standing by our closest ally in the region, the Biden administration has been more concerned with trying to re-enter the disastrous Iran nuclear deal. It’s clear that this administration’s priorities are all wrong.

And let’s not forget, this all comes on the heels of the brutal killing of Chief Warrant Officer 4 Garrett Illerbrunn on Christmas Day. He was critically injured in a previous drone attack and was being sent back to the US for further treatment. It’s heartbreaking to see these brave soldiers paying the ultimate sacrifice at the hands of our enemies, while the Biden administration does nothing to stop it.

To make matters worse, there have been reports that the US and Iraq are planning to begin talks soon about the future of the US military presence in the country. It’s no wonder our enemies feel emboldened to attack our forces. They know that the Biden administration is more interested in appeasing Iran than protecting our troops.

For now, we can only hope that the families of these three soldiers receive the support and comfort they deserve. Our hearts go out to all the brave men and women serving in the Middle East who put their lives on the line every day. And to the Biden administration, we have one message: enough is enough. It’s time to take real action against the Iran-backed militant groups and protect our troops.
