Greetings to all! We hope you’re faring well. Today, we bring to you an unexpected piece of news, particularly for fans of the classic coming-of-age baseball movie, “The Sandlot.” You might recall Scott Smalls, the protagonist of the film? The actor who portrayed him, Tom Guiry, finds himself in a bit of a predicament of late.

On June 2, Tom Guiry, now 42 years old, was arrested in Conway, South Carolina. Apparently, the Hollywood star allegedly hurled a dumbbell at his neighbour’s jeep.

The specifics of what led to this incident aren’t exactly clear, but security camera footage sheds some light. In the video, an individual resembling Guiry is visible hurling a dumbbell towards the windshield of a white jeep. The impact led to the windshield shattering, with the dumbbell dropping onto the hood and crashing to the ground. Subsequently, Guiry can be seen returning to his residence as if nothing unusual transpired.

The police intervened on the same day in response to a disturbance call and found Guiry standing in the center of the road. The neighbor, observing the damage to his jeep, expressed disbelief at the shattered window. Guiry reportedly retorted, “That sucks man, I’ll pay you back, I’m sorry, I’m gonna get you back.” According to the Horry County Sheriff’s office, he then confessed: “I did it. I’m sorry man. I’m coming back to get you … I … sorry brother, I’ll pay you back.”

If this already sounds intense, there’s more. The neighbor also reported to the police that Guiry had approached his door wielding a knife! The same security footage corroborates the neighbor’s claim.

Consequently, Tom Guiry was apprehended and charged with assault, disorderly conduct, and malicious damage. Unfortunately, this isn’t Guiry’s first brush with the law. Back in 2013, he was arrested for allegedly headbutting and attempting to kick a police officer in Texas.

Despite these incidents, Guiry has had an illustrious acting career, with performances in esteemed films such as “Black Hawk Down,” “Mystic River,” and “The Revenant,” besides “The Sandlot.”
