Actress Alyssa Milano, most likely known for her role as Samantha Micelli in “Who’s the Boss?” or as Phoebe Halliwell in “Charmed” was criticized on Twitter for a post saying that she was giving back her Tesla due to the controversy surrounding Elon Musk and his takeover of Twitter.
Milano, a vocal Democrat, posted on Twitter, “I gave back my Tesla. I bought the VW ev. I love it. I’m not sure how advertisers can buy space on Twitter. Publicly traded company’s products being pushed in alignment with hate and white supremacy doesn’t seem to be a winning business model.”
I gave back my Tesla.
I bought the VW ev.
I love it.
I’m not sure how advertisers can buy space on Twitter. Publicly traded company’s products being pushed in alignment with hate and white supremacy doesn’t seem to be a winning business model.

Many Twitter users criticized Milano over the tweet, giving her a history lesson in who started the German auto company.
Their comment earned a crying laughing emoji and a “100” emoji from Tesla CEO and now Twitter owner Elon Musk.

Imagine thinking you’re woke and owning @elonmusk by trading your American-made car for one literally founded by Nazis. #ratio https://t.co/tiglVlRJp2

While another Twitter user posted,
The Volkswagen company originated during the Third Reich in an attempt to create an affordable car for the German people.

Milano’s tweet suggested that she had returned her Tesla due to Musk’s recent purchase of Twitter and the controversy surrounding the decision to bring back accounts that had been removed for violating the company’s terms of service. This included former Donald Trump.
