The disappearance of 31-year-old Brazilian actress Maidê Mahl, who starred in popular shows on HBO Max and Star+, has sparked a frantic search across São Paulo.
Mahl, known for her roles in Vale dos Esquecidos (The Forgotten Valley) and O Rei da TV (The King of TV), has been missing since Monday, with the São Paulo Civil Police leading the investigation.

Mahl was last seen around 3:30 p.m. in the upscale Moema neighborhood of São Paulo, wearing plaid pants, a scarf, a beige overcoat, a brown beret, and a backpack. Since her disappearance, friends, colleagues, and fans have launched a widespread online campaign, sharing a missing person poster in the hopes of bringing attention to her case. Fellow actors and public figures are using social media to plead for information, urging the public to help locate her.

One of her friends, psychiatrist Adilon Harley, shed light on her mental health struggles in an Instagram post, stating that Mahl had been receiving advanced treatment at the Paulista School of Medicine.
“One of the loves of our lives is in danger. Maidê is loved by everyone who has the privilege of being by her side,’ Harley wrote in an Instagram post.
“She has been experiencing serious health problems for some time now and is receiving state-of-the-art care and treatment at the Paulista School of Medicine, to whom we are very grateful.”
Actress Giselle Itiê also joined the public call for help, asking anyone with information to reach out and share the missing person alert. She stressed the urgency of the search, even for those outside the immediate area.
The case is still unfolding, and the community is holding its breath, hoping for Mahl’s safe return.
