Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. has extended a helping hand to Israel in the wake of unprovoked terrorist attacks by Hamas. Reports indicate that the 46-year-old former professional boxer and boxing promoter used his private jet to send aid to Israel through a relief organization. The aid includes essential supplies such as food, water, and bulletproof vests for Israel’s defense forces, according to information obtained by TMZ.
Mayweather took to Instagram to express his support for Israel and the Jewish people. In a post on Tuesday, he captioned, “I stand with Israel against the Hamas terrorists. Hamas do not represent the people of Palestine but are a terrorist group that are attacking innocent lives!” He emphasized the need for safety during these trying times and extended his well wishes for the safe return of all individuals affected by the conflict. Mayweather underscored that this was not a time for politics but for prioritizing safety.
The boxer shared two photos on his Instagram account, showcasing his presence in Jerusalem. Additionally, he posted an image of a fist painted with blue stripes and the Star of David on the palm, along with a message declaring his solidarity with Israel and Jews worldwide. The caption read, “I stand with Israel and Jews all around the world. I condemn antisemitism at all cost. I stand for Peace. I stand for Human Rights! Terrorism Is Never The Answer!”
Mayweather is not alone in his support for Israel, as several other celebrities have joined the chorus denouncing the attacks. Notable figures such as actress Gal Gadot, Amy Schumer, Josh Gad, Mayim Bialik, Madonna, Sarah Silverman, and more have spoken out against the violence perpetrated by Hamas.
Interestingly, “Star Wars” actor Mark Hamill found himself at odds with some of his followers after voicing support for Israel. Despite the backlash, Mayweather and others in the public eye are taking a stand, expressing their condemnation of the attacks and advocating for peace in the region.
This isn’t the first time Mayweather has extended a helping hand during times of crisis. In August, he played a crucial role in assisting families who lost their homes in the Maui wildfires, providing essential support such as food, clothing, shelter, and transportation to safety.
