Fast food companies are breaking out all the stops trying to compete in the economy.
McDonalds brought a “value” meal deal back.
Now Chick-fil-A- Is bringing back a fan favorite to compete for what little money we all have.
They are bringing back a beloved fan favorite that hasn’t graced its menu in over a decade. Starting August 26, the fast-food chain will reintroduce its much-loved Banana Pudding Milkshake for the first time in 13 years. This nostalgic treat is making a limited-time comeback, and it’s sure to excite those who have been eagerly awaiting its return.
The Banana Pudding Milkshake is a delightful blend of Chick-fil-A’s signature Icedream dessert, mixed with banana and vanilla wafer cookie crumbles, topped off with whipped cream and a cherry. It’s a creamy, dreamy nod to the classic Southern dessert that many associate with family gatherings and good times. However, this shake will only be available while supplies last, so fans will want to act quickly to get their hands on it. Typically, Chick-fil-A’s limited-time offerings stick around for about ten weeks, though no official end date has been set for this release.
Chick-fil-A chef Christy Cook expressed the excitement surrounding the shake’s return. She shared with USA Today that customers have frequently asked when the Banana Pudding Milkshake would make its comeback, often bringing it up during family reunions or casual conversations. Cook emphasized that the milkshake is more than just a dessert—it’s a reminder of community and togetherness.
In addition to the milkshake, Chick-fil-A is also introducing a new twist on another crowd-pleaser. On the same day the shake returns, the chain will debut a spicy version of its popular Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich. This new sandwich features a spicy filet, mild pickled jalapeños, pimento cheese, and a honey drizzle, all served on a toasted bun. The original Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich, introduced last year, was a hit with customers, and this spicy variation is expected to be just as well-received.
Stuart Tracy, Chick-fil-A’s senior lead culinary developer, explained that many customers have already been customizing the sandwich with a spicy filet, making this new version a natural evolution. Tracy himself is a fan of the added heat, admitting that the spicy rendition had long been his “secret favorite.”
