Country music singer Zach Bryan found himself in a heated confrontation with Oklahoma Highway Patrol after being pulled over for speeding on Thursday night, as revealed in dashcam footage obtained by Fox News Digital.

In the video, Bryan is seen approaching his security guard’s white SUV after the police had pulled the vehicle over for speeding. The situation escalated quickly when Bryan exited his car and was promptly instructed by an officer to return to his vehicle or face arrest. Bryan defiantly responded, “I’ll go to jail, let’s do it,” leading to his arrest.

Throughout the incident, captured on the dashcam video and detailed in the accompanying police report, Bryan repeatedly complained about the tightness of the handcuffs placed on him. He warned the arresting officer that not releasing him from the restraints would be a mistake and expressed frustration, stating, “F—-ing cops are out of hand, truly.” He also claimed to know several Oklahoma police officers, mentioning that he had invited “40” of them to his recent shows.

After the officer finished addressing the traffic violation, he inspected the handcuffs and found them not too tight. However, he adjusted them for Bryan’s comfort, as per the police report. Bryan was subsequently transported to Craig County Jail on Thursday night but was released the same evening.

Following the incident, Bryan took to social media to issue a public apology. On X, he acknowledged that his emotions had gotten the best of him and that he was out of line with his comments. Bryan expressed his support for law enforcement and admitted that his actions were uncharacteristic of him. He also apologized to the officers involved and hoped that everyone could move past the incident.

In a video posted on his social media the following morning, Bryan continued to address the situation, emphasizing that he still had to deal with the legal aspects of his arrest. He admitted fault, stating that he was an “idiot” during the encounter and commended the police for not playing favorites.

Bryan made it clear that he was not attempting to save face and acknowledged his disrespectful behavior towards the police officers. He pledged to spend the next few weeks making amends for his actions and expressed deep embarrassment for himself and his loved ones.

“I do respect police officers and I made a massive mistake. I am embarrassed for myself, my family and the people I love but all I can do now in sincerely apologize,” Bryan concluded.
