Texas wide receiver Isaiah Bond, a 21-year-old NFL draft prospect, turned himself in to law enforcement on Thursday in connection with a warrant for sexual assault. The incident occurred approximately two weeks before the start of the 2025 NFL Draft, in which Bond is expected to be selected as a second-day pick. After his surrender, Bond posted a $25,000 bond and was released from custody.
Specific details surrounding the allegations have not been made public. Bond addressed the situation in a public statement posted to X (formerly Twitter), denying the claims made against him and emphasizing his intent to fully cooperate with authorities.
“Regarding the accusation made against me, I would appreciate the time and opportunity to defend myself and prove the claims made, patently false,” Bond wrote. “I am in full cooperation with the authorities and will remain a willing and active participant in the investigation.”
He added, “Unfortunately, claims like these prove to be harmful to all involved, absent full review. I kindly request that all reserve judgment until the authorities provide a complete report based on truth and evidence.”

Bond recently completed his final collegiate season with the University of Texas Longhorns after transferring from the University of Alabama. In his lone year with Texas, Bond recorded 34 receptions for 540 yards and five touchdowns. He declared for the NFL Draft following Texas’ loss in the College Football Playoff to eventual national champion Ohio State.
Prior to his time at Texas, Bond played two seasons with the Alabama Crimson Tide. One of the most notable moments in his college career came during the 2023 Iron Bowl, when he caught a game-winning touchdown pass from quarterback Jalen Milroe on a 4th-and-31 play with under a minute left in regulation. That win propelled Alabama into the Southeastern Conference (SEC) Championship Game, where they defeated then-top-ranked Georgia. Alabama would later fall to Michigan in the Rose Bowl.
Bond’s performance during his collegiate career has positioned him as a likely selection during the second or third round of the upcoming NFL Draft. Despite the legal developments, his status as a draft prospect remains unchanged at this time, though the unfolding investigation may have an impact depending on future findings and outcomes.

Law enforcement officials have not released additional information about the nature of the allegations or any potential timeline for further proceedings. Bond’s legal representatives have not issued a separate statement, and it remains unclear whether formal charges beyond the warrant will be filed.
The NFL has not commented publicly on Bond’s arrest or how it may affect his eligibility or standing with league teams ahead of the draft. Under current league policy, players facing unresolved legal matters may still be drafted, though individual teams make determinations based on their own risk assessments and organizational standards.
As the legal process continues, both Bond’s professional future and the circumstances surrounding the case are expected to remain under close scrutiny.
