Ivanka Trump, the daughter of former President Donald Trump and White House adviser, recently shared on Instagram that she and her husband, Jared Kushner, had a scare when their 6-year-old son was being rushed to the hospital.
According to Trump’s post, the school nurse called her last week to let her know that Theo had broken his wrist playing soccer. Since Trump was over an hour away, an ambulance was called to take Theo to the closest hospital. Trump and Kushner raced separately to meet him there.
“Since I was over an hour’s drive away, an ambulance took Theo, accompanied by the school nurse, to the closest hospital,” she wrote. “Jared and I raced to meet him, Jared arriving at the same time as the ambulance and me getting there a few minutes later.”
Trump expressed her gratitude for the EMTs, doctors, nurses, and staff at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital who cared for Theo “tenderly and professionally”. To show her appreciation, she and Kushner donated to the hospital.
Trump said, “Jared and I are so grateful to the doctors, nurses, EMTs, and hospital staff who cared for our son. With gratitude in our hearts, we have made a donation to the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital.
