Former U.S. Senator Scott Brown recently revealed an incident involving President Biden on the “Burn Barrel” podcast, shedding light on a past encounter that left a lasting impression. Brown recounted an episode from his time serving in the Senate representing Massachusetts, where he felt compelled to issue a strong warning to then-Senator Biden during his swearing-in ceremony.

In the podcast episode, Brown claimed, “I told him I’d kick the s— out – I told him to stop, so yes,” while chuckling. Although initially hesitant to delve into what he referred to as “old news,” Brown was encouraged to share more details about the incident. He described the moment when he confronted Biden directly, stating, “Yes, he didn’t act the way I thought he should, and we called him on it and that’s it.”

The former senator’s recollection was prompted by host Tom Shattuck’s question about the public perception of President Biden, particularly in light of controversies involving his granddaughter and allegations of inappropriate behavior. Brown acknowledged that he had spent significant time with Biden in the past and had enjoyed his company, but he expressed surprise at the stark contrast between the person he knew and the image projected on television.

“This thing with his granddaughter really stuck. Also, I think people are irked out about all the hair sniffing and things. Women are skeeved out by that stuff and he’s not a good guy. You know him,” Shattuck offered to Brown.

Notably, the White House did not provide an immediate response to Brown’s story.

This revelation adds to the ongoing scrutiny surrounding President Biden’s cognitive abilities. Several House Republicans recently penned a letter demanding that Biden undergo a cognitive test or withdraw from the 2024 presidential race, following his announcement of a re-election bid earlier this year.

Critics have seized upon moments that they argue highlight potential cognitive decline. A recent incident during an MSNBC interview further fueled these concerns. President Biden momentarily wandered off the set during a live interview, prompting Rep. Nancy Mace of South Carolina to assert that there was “no denying” the president’s cognitive struggles.

These events and allegations have contributed to a broader conversation about President Biden’s fitness for office, with some suggesting that his ability to lead and make informed decisions may be compromised.
