In a troubling series of events, John-Paul Miller, a 44-year-old pastor from Solid Rock Church in Myrtle Beach, was involved in an intense confrontation with his wife, Mica Miller, and her family. This incident occurred nearly two years before the tragic end of their marriage, according to DailyMail.com. In November 2022, John-Paul sent a series of disturbing texts to his sister-in-law Sierra Francis, threatening that he was on his way to her house, armed and ready, where his wife Mica was visiting.

These messages were released online by Sierra after Mica, aged 30, was found deceased from a self-inflicted gunshot wound at Lumber River State Park in North Carolina on April 27. It was reported that Mica had served John-Paul divorce papers just days before her death, and her passing has been officially ruled a suicide.

Following Mica’s death, her friends and family have been vocal in their demands for further investigation, despite the official ruling. They have been rallying under the banner “justice for Mica,” prompting local authorities to engage the FBI for additional support in the investigation.

The texts between John-Paul and Sierra from that November include Sierra warning him not to come to her house and John-Paul responding with threats. He said, “I’m armed. I’m ready. Mica can fix all of this,” to which Sierra replied that threats and intimidation would not resolve anything. John-Paul then dismissively responded that he was driving and couldn’t continue texting.

Further details emerge from these exchanges, where John-Paul expressed regret over a past decision that seemingly triggered their marital issues. He conveyed a desire to mend their relationship, pleading with Mica to return home and fix their marriage.

The TikTok account Justiceformica posted the text messages.

Another incident involved John-Paul trying to communicate through Sierra to Mica, offering promises of taking off work, undergoing counseling, and planning a vacation in an attempt to reconcile. He also expressed a wish to have a child with Mica, sharing his fears of divorce and the impact it could have on their future child.

Amidst these exchanges, Sierra contacted the authorities, as revealed in a 911 call where she reported John-Paul’s alarming behavior and his recent acquisition of multiple firearms. She told the dispatcher that John-Paul was threatening to keep them up all night to force a reconciliation.

Additionally, the situation escalated when John-Paul was accused of using his influence to get Mica’s sister-in-law Victoria fired from her teaching job at Faith First Academy after a series of social media posts by Mica’s brother were deemed inappropriate by the school, which is affiliated with John-Paul’s ministry. This led to Victoria’s dismissal for failing to adhere to the school’s standards, as stated in a termination email.

The whole situation is really dark and now the FBI is involved to help local investigators finish their investigation.
