Tragedy struck the broadcasting community as CBS-New York meteorologist Elise Finch passed away suddenly over the weekend, leaving her heartbroken colleagues and friends mourning her loss. The talented weather forecaster, who had been delivering accurate forecasts to New Yorkers since 2007, died at a local hospital at the age of 51. The cause of her untimely death remains unknown.

Described as a gifted and consummate professional, Elise Finch was highly respected for her meticulous approach to her work. She also made a positive impact on the community, particularly in her hometown of Mount Vernon. Beginning her career as a weekend meteorologist, she had recently been delivering the weather forecast on the morning news. Alongside her professional achievements, Finch was known as a fiercely loving and devoted mother to her daughter, Grace, and wife to Graig Henriques, a WCBS photojournalist.
