The Biden administration demanded that Texas authorities give up control of the park to Border Patrol, but Governor Abbott refused to back down. Instead, Texas authorities continued to build razor wire barriers to deter illegal border crossings, showing that they are not afraid to take action against this crisis.
But the convoy did not stop there. It also made stops in San Ysidro, California and Yuma, Arizona, further showing the strong support for securing our southern border among everyday Americans.
Joining the convoy in Quemado was Republican Congressman Keith Self, who reaffirmed his support for Governor Abbott’s efforts to secure the border.
