The revelations coming out of the Mountain Home VA Medical Center in Tennessee are absolutely stomach-churning, a disgrace to the men and women who rely on this institution for their healthcare and well-being.
Allegations of rampant sexual misconduct involving no fewer than 32 women and at least one employee participating in what can only be described as a government-sponsored cesspool of depravity are bad enough. But to learn that this behavior was so normalized it was bragged about on a government communication portal—funded by taxpayer dollars—takes the scandal to another level entirely.
Let’s not sugarcoat this: the culture at this VA facility represents a total collapse of leadership and accountability. It’s not just a “bad apple” problem; it’s a systemic failure. Whistleblowers claim the leadership at Mountain Home knew about the misconduct and turned a blind eye. And now, as more resignations pile up—including the facility’s director—it’s becoming painfully clear that this toxic culture didn’t just materialize overnight. It thrived under the watch of those entrusted with the care of our veterans.
Adding insult to injury, reports of a 12-person orgy involving government employees—whether on or off VA property—are a grotesque betrayal of public trust. This isn’t a frat house; it’s a federal institution meant to serve America’s heroes. At least two employees admitted to having sex on VA grounds, further underscoring the utter lack of professionalism and discipline at this facility. Meanwhile, veterans—the very individuals these people were hired to serve—are left to wonder if their healthcare is a priority or just a sideshow to this circus.
The timing of this scandal couldn’t be worse for the Biden administration. Outgoing VA Secretary Denis McDonough, a longtime Democratic insider, must answer for the egregious lapses in oversight that allowed this rot to fester. This isn’t the first VA scandal under Biden, but it might be the most jaw-dropping. Taxpayers deserve to know how deep this culture of misconduct runs and whether it’s confined to Mountain Home or infects other VA facilities across the country.
Under VA Secretary Denis McDonough, top Veterans Affairs officials have had to resign after an investigation into their conduct revealed that one official slept with 32 different coworkers at a TN VA hospital. Orgies of 12 were also uncovered.
How does this happen one might…

Fortunately, the incoming Trump administration appears poised to clean house. President-elect Trump has already tapped former Rep. Doug Collins (R-GA) to take the reins of the VA. Collins, known for his no-nonsense approach, will have his hands full tackling the dysfunction left behind by Biden’s team. But one thing is clear: heads need to roll. The bureaucrats who presided over this disaster must be held accountable, and the VA must be rebuilt from the ground up to restore trust with veterans and taxpayers alike.

Congressional Republicans, led by Rep. Michael Bost (R-IL) and Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), are rightly demanding answers. Bost’s investigation has already uncovered even more disturbing allegations of sexual harassment, assault, and improper relationships that VA leadership allegedly swept under the rug. Blackburn has echoed the outrage, calling the allegations “serious and disgusting,” and she’s absolutely correct.
Let’s be honest: the Biden-Harris administration’s track record with the VA is nothing short of appalling. This isn’t just about cleaning up after one scandal; it’s about addressing the systemic rot that seems to follow Democratic leadership wherever it goes. Our veterans deserve better than this sordid spectacle. They deserve respect, accountability, and a VA that puts their needs first—not a workplace soap opera for entitled bureaucrats.
