On Monday night, Melania Trump turned heads in a striking $4,000 red Valentino dress as she hosted a political fundraiser in New York. This event, held at Trump Tower, was to support the Log Cabin Republicans, the largest conservative LGBTQ+ organization. The former first lady’s appearance was a rare and dazzling one, featuring a stunning sheath dress paired with red patent leather So Kate Christian Louboutin pumps.

This marked only her second fundraiser of the year for the Log Cabin Republicans, with the first taking place in April at the Trumps’ Mar-a-Lago estate. Her choice of dress was notable, as she opted to rewear the same sleeveless red crepe midi dress by Valentino she had first worn in April 2017, during a state visit from Chinese President Xi Jinping. This stylish nod to the past showcased her timeless fashion sense.

It was reported by the Daily Mail that the Manhattan fundraiser brought in $1.4 million.

The event at Trump Tower was an intimate affair held in the Trumps’ private penthouse, which spans three floors. Notable guests included former Trump White House official Kellyanne Conway, former Senator Kelly Loeffler, businessman Bryan Eure and his husband Bill White, former acting director of U.S. National Intelligence Richard Grenell, and philanthropists Nazee and Joseph Moinian. During her previous Log Cabin Republicans event, Melania advocated for “equality for all,” underscoring her commitment to the cause.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump remained behind closed doors following his recent debate with Joe Biden. Despite his absence from the national stage, he maintained his presence on social media, particularly on his Truth Social account. His advisers have indicated that he is sitting back to observe the unfolding Democratic turmoil.

Melania’s political appearances have been notably scarce. She did not attend the first presidential debate and has yet to participate in any of her husband’s political events this year, a stark contrast to Jill Biden, who frequently campaigns for Joe Biden. Melania’s limited public support for her husband’s campaign has been evident, though she did join him when he announced his 2024 presidential bid last November and attended a fundraiser and Florida’s primary voting with him.

When asked by reporters if she would campaign for Trump, Melania’s response was, “Stay tuned,” leaving her future involvement in the campaign ambiguous. Her last public appearance before Monday’s fundraiser was in late June in New York City, and the last time she was seen with Donald Trump was at their son Barron’s high school graduation in May.
