Curtis James Jackson III, more commonly known as the rapper and actor 50 Cent, has launched a scathing critique of President Joe Biden’s vacationing habits in the midst of pressing domestic and international challenges. The artist took to social media to express his concerns, accusing the President of neglecting his duties.

President Biden recently faced backlash after a trip to Israel, where he expressed support for the nation following recent terrorist attacks by Hamas. He subsequently requested an additional $100 billion in foreign aid, a move that drew mixed reactions. During this eventful week, President Biden chose to take another vacation, adding to a growing tally of personal time.

At the heart of the criticism is the timing of President Biden’s vacation, which coincided with a critical situation involving Israel’s potential ground invasion of Gaza, the unaccounted-for American hostages held by Hamas, increasing threats to American embassies in Arab nations, and the ongoing immigration crisis at the U.S. southern border.

In a viral Instagram post, 50 Cent posted a picture of President Biden relaxing on the beach with the caption, “Hey Joe get the f*** up, we in trouble man!” The artist’s frustration with the President’s choice of leisure during these challenging times was evident in his choice of words.

On the following day, 50 Cent further criticized the President, writing, “We got some real s**t going on out here Joe. What’s the plan to get a tan and chill come on now.”

The White House swiftly responded to these comments. White House spokesman Andrew Bates defended President Biden’s vacation, stating, “As has been the case for the better part of a century, Presidents can execute the full range of their duties from anywhere in the world – whether it’s a war zone in Israel or 100 miles from the White House in Delaware.” Bates also emphasized President Biden’s long working hours, pushing back against the notion that the President was neglecting his responsibilities.

The New York Post reported that, as of August 27, President Biden had spent 382 days on personal overnight trips away from the White House during his presidency, accounting for roughly 40% of his term. Comparatively, former President Donald Trump spent 381 days on personal trips during his 1,461 days in office.
