A former Fox News contributor and Justice Department attorney during the Trump administration has publicly suggested that First Lady Jill Biden could potentially face criminal charges related to alleged elder abuse. The comments come in the wake of former President Joe Biden’s recent announcement that he has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer.

The former president’s diagnosis was made public on Sunday. Within hours of the announcement, speculation circulated online and among political commentators about how long the illness had been known to the president’s inner circle. Some suggested that the condition may have been concealed from the public for a significant period of time. This speculation was further fueled by comments from several physicians, including one who suggested that Biden may have had the disease for up to ten years prior to the public disclosure.

Leo Terrell, who previously served as a civil rights attorney in the Department of Justice and was a contributor to Fox News, responded to one such claim on social media. Terrell reposted a message from a conservative account asserting that Jill Biden was aware of the president’s health issues but encouraged his presidential run regardless. The post referred to the First Lady as “evil.” Terrell added his own comment: “Elder Abuse! Criminal Charges??”

The post quickly garnered attention and reactions across conservative social media platforms, with some users supporting the claim and others going so far as to suggest that Jill Biden’s actions amounted to treason. There has been no official response from the White House or legal authorities regarding Terrell’s remarks or the underlying accusations.

Former President Donald Trump initially issued a brief statement expressing well wishes to Biden following the diagnosis. However, by the following day, Trump appeared to cast doubt on the transparency of the announcement. Speaking at the White House, he questioned whether the public had been told the full truth about Biden’s condition and treatment.

“I think people should try and find out what happened because I’ll tell you, I don’t know if it had anything to do with the hospital,” Trump said. “Walter Reed is really good. They’re some of the best doctors I’ve ever seen. I don’t even know if they were involved. But a doctor was involved in each case. Maybe it was the same doctor. And somebody is not telling the facts. It’s a big, that’s a big problem.”

Vice President JD Vance, who was returning from a diplomatic visit to the Vatican, also addressed Biden’s health in a brief statement to the press. While extending wishes for recovery, he added to the ongoing debate by questioning the former president’s overall capacity to serve.

“Look, I mean, first of all, of course, we wish the best for the former president’s health,” Vance said aboard Air Force Two. “Look, I will say, whether the right time to have this conversation is now or at some point in the future. We really do need to be honest about whether the former president was capable of doing the job.”

No official comment has been made by the Biden family in response to the accusations of a cover-up or the suggestion of criminal misconduct. The president is currently undergoing treatment, and further updates on his condition have not yet been provided.
