A Delta Airlines employee is gaining widespread praise on social media after he stood up to a purported transgender activist who was upset about being “misgendered” by him and another woman.

The incident allegedly took place at New York-LaGuardia International Airport (LGA) and was caught on camera, sparking a viral video that has been shared across various platforms. In the video, the transgender individual, who appears to be the person filming, can be heard voicing his complaint about the employee calling him a “he.”

The employee calmly explains that it was not intentional and that if the individual wants to take it personally, it is their choice. However, he also asserts that he has the authority to escort the individual out of the building if they wish to continue with their complaint.

“It wasn’t intentional, but if you want to take it personal, that’s also okay,” the employee responded.

“You’re being condescending and if you want to continue, I have full authority to escort you out the building right this moment if you want to play that game with me,” the employee fired back. “Would you like to continue three days before Christmas? I really don’t mind.”

The transgender activist then goes on to accuse another woman of intentionally misgendering him twice, to which the employee responds by saying that he is not being condescending and that he is merely doing his job. He also warns the individual that they are free to continue with the argument, but it is just three days before Christmas and he does not mind escorting them out if they want to play that game.

The employee’s firm and assertive response received widespread support online, with many applauding him for standing up to the activist. The popular X account Libs of TikTok shared the video and wrote, “Trans activist tried bullying an airline employee for ‘misgendering.’The employee wasn’t having it! This is the correct way to deal with these narcissists who demand we give in to their delusions. It’s all just a power trip for them!”

Attorney Kurt Schlichter also responded positively, saying that people are not morally obligated to play along with those who demand attention and obedience.

Podcast host Konstantin Kisin also weighed in, stating that it is time to stop being afraid of children who want to enforce their speech codes on the rest of society.

The incident has sparked a debate on social media about the growing trend of activism and the enforcement of preferred pronouns. Some have argued that demanding such compliance from others is a form of censorship and control, while others have defended the activist’s right to be addressed by their preferred gender identity.

Journalist Paul D. Thacker also chimed in, stating that the encounter is a reflection of what happens when average people come face to face with DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) activists who consume biased information from sources like Vox and promote censorship through platforms like BlueSky.
