In a recent episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast, renowned host Joe Rogan criticized Bud Light and transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney, attributing the decline in Bud Light’s market cap to its partnership with Mulvaney. During a discussion with rapper Ice Cube, Rogan expressed his views on the matter, shedding light on his perspective of corporate decision-making and the alleged lack of understanding of “real people.”

Rogan pointed out that major companies like Bud Light only appear to respect people’s opinions when those opinions result in successful boycotts. He drew attention to the decline in Bud Light’s market value following their association with Mulvaney, stating, “Don’t do that again, like, be careful because look what happened to Bud Light.” Rogan seemed critical of Bud Light’s vice president of marketing, Alissa Heinerscheid, although he did not mention her by name. He suggested that decisions made by individuals who come from a university and corporate background may not truly comprehend the preferences and values of everyday consumers.

Rogan then shifted his focus towards Mulvaney, referring to her as a “mentally ill person” seeking attention. He criticized Bud Light for endorsing Mulvaney’s “365 days of womanhood” campaign, which ultimately caused controversy and backlash among the brand’s traditional consumer base. Rogan further remarked that Bud Light’s target audience consisted of blue-collar individuals who enjoy watching football and drinking their beer, seemingly suggesting that Mulvaney’s transgender identity did not align with the preferences of Bud Light’s core consumers.

The podcast conversation took a further unexpected turn when Rogan mentioned Kid Rock’s involvement, alluding to an incident where the musician allegedly shot a display of Bud Light cans. Rogan implied that once an artist like Kid Rock publicly opposes a brand, it signifies significant problems for the company.
